Laid out in the 1920s on the model of an English village, Windsor Farms is large-lot Georgian and Tudor Revival housing, much of it still with original oak and heart-pine floors.
The highest concentration of inherited Persian and Turkish rugs anywhere in the region — Tabriz, Kashan, Sarouk and Heriz pieces that came into families two or three generations ago and have never been properly washed.
Rugs of that age often have dry, brittle foundations and early synthetic dyes from the 1900s–30s that are unstable in water. Every one gets a dye-bleed test before it goes near a wash pit, and antique pieces are washed at lower temperatures with a shorter immersion.
Collection and return across Richmond city is free. We collect the rug, assess it at the facility, and confirm the price before any work begins — a wool rug is heavy and awkward once rolled, and moving it yourself is a common way to crease a foundation.

Send a few details and a photo if you have one. We’ll come back with an estimate and a pick-up window, usually within one business day. The quote is free and the final price is set only after we’ve seen the rug in person.
